AnonyMouse_7120
Had a quick scan, surprised that it says '6000 disadvantaged 2yr olds are in inadequate settings' ...in our area you need to be good or outstanding to take them, isn't that the norm ? Also think they need to be more worried about where they will go when there won't be enough spaces for the 30hr 3/4 yr olds.

Maybe the disadvantaged 2 yr olds are in areas of deprivation rather than being funded 2 yr olds? - just musing ....
AnonyMouse_7120
maybe, though you'd think if in a deprived area to be in a setting at 2yrs they would be funded...maybe they start and the setting is good or better then isn't at a later inspection
AnonyMouse_73
Children can remain with a provider that has been graded if there are sufficiency issues or if to remove a child could be detrimental to the child. I was surprised by the numbers though, our LA like many work flat out to place funded children should there be a inadequate inspection.
