Hi,
Thanks for your suggestion - I will bring this up with the rest of the team to discuss whether it would possible to add this or not onto Tapestry, due to the cost of sending out text notifications it might not be possible though.
Adding notifications to the app version of Tapestry is something that is on our list of things to look into adding to Tapestry and is likely to be added in the future though which the parents might find easier than accessing their emails.

Hi,
Each Tapestry account has its own database, for security reasons, and this means that settings cannot 'share' the same Tapestry account, but there are a couple of options of how you can proceed.
Option 1: One of you could be added to the other package as a relative, then you would be able to comment on the same journal and you would be able to see what they have added. The drawback here is that you would not be able to see any assessment data unless the setting has clicked that all parents can see all assessment data and relatives cannot add assessments to observations. It is not possible to select which relatives receive assessment details and which do not.
Option 2: One of you could be added to the other package as a member of staff, then you would have full access to that child's data. To do this without creating safeguarding issues you would need consider the following:
If the package the other is added to only allows staff to see their key children, then they just need to add the member of staff for the other setting and attach the child as a key child.
If the package the other is added to does allow staff to see all children, or children other than their key children, you can proceed as follows:
- All children that a staff member in the first setting might want to observe are set as key children, this could possibly be all children.
- They then set all staff to be able to see only their key children.
- Then they can set manual 'groups’, then they will be able to use the groups filter to look at different things for analysis purposes. There will then be groups called 'X's' key children etc.
- The member of staff for the second setting can then be added as a staff member and assigned the child as a key child.
The drawback to option 2 is that analysis data will be limited so staff will still need to compare attainment/progress etc. manually with the cohort in the other setting, also if the child is in group photo the second setting key person will see their faces. You would need to think about whether this is a problem and if you can get permission for this.
Option 3: Export the learning journal at the end of a set period and share this with the other setting and vice versa.

Hi Hannah,
This section on the age band tracker actually refers to how the snapshots are calculated, thank you for bringing this to our attention, will make sure the wording is clearer that the age band tracker is not an estimation.
In terms of adding the baseline to the age band tracker, this is something I will add to our list of things to look into adding to Tapestry. :1b

Hi Caroline,
Thanks for your post - I will add this to our list of things to discuss whether it would be possible to add to Tapestry.
-
Hi Pauline,
Whilst we cannot stop you sharing a package we would strongly recommend you do not share a package due to the safeguarding implications surrounding OFSTED and data-sharing.
We have also heard feedback from other users that having separate packages for each cohort is easier to manage in terms of analysis and tracking and sharing a package between two settings would be more work in terms of setting up the package.
The account would also be set up under one email address which would mean the initial login details would be sent there and renewal invoices would also be sent to the same email, which is what I assume the person you spoke to about being a 'host' was referring to.
It is possible to transfer children between packages so if you had separate packages when the children move up from the pre-school you could transfer them to your package.

Hi,
Thanks for your suggestion!
I have added this to our list of things to look into adding to Tapestry in the future as we have heard from another user that this is also something they would like to be able to see on Tapestry.

Hi,
Could I just clarify what data on the age band tracker you believe to be estimated, is it the percentage or the actual age band and refinement?
The data in the age band tracker is taken from the snapshots, so the summative assessment worked out on Tapestry for each child per term. The summative assessment is worked out as an average based off the assessments you have made in observations, but it can be overridden in the individual view of snapshots for a child if you believe this data to be not entirely accurate.
The percentages on the age band tracker are the percentage of your children that have been assessed in that specific aspect for that specific term.
Baselines are not included in the age band tracker because of the fact that child's baselines are often different dates/periods of time. If you would like to see percentages of children for baseline and another term you can do this by going to the group comparison screen. You can find this screen by going to the analysis tab, clicking on where it says 'EYFS' and scrolling to the bottom of the page. From there by where it says 'comparison' you will need to select the 'group' button.
On this page you can then select the baseline term and another term you would like to compare it to and then select a group of children to view this for. This will then show you the percentage of children that are at or above their actual age for each term and the average months above actual age.

Hi,
If you send in a support ticket to tapestry.support@eyfs.info one of the team can help you get set up there. :1b

To help prevent hackers attempting to guess user accounts through repetitively entering hundreds of passwords, Tapestry automatically shuts a user out if an incorrect password is entered three times.
It's only for fifteen minutes, but this means it would take huge amounts of time for someone to stumble upon the correct password. However, to enable you to resolve this yourself (eg if a staff member has accidentally locked him/herself out) Tapestry also allows managers to unlock accounts for staff and/or parents. This is how you go about it:
Go to the (1) Manage staff screen in the Control Panel, and find the relevant member of staff. If they are still locked out there will be a (2) red button indicating this:
To unlock the account you just need to click on the cog button at the end of the row of the staff member's name (1) and select 'unlock password' from the drop down menu (2).
When you click on that you will taken to another page which will tell you why the account was locked, to then complete the unlocking process you just need to click on the 'Unlock' button.
Once that has been done the account will become unlocked, the red button will disappear and a note at the top of the page will say 'Account unlocked'.
To do the same thing for parents or other relatives, visit the 'Manage Relatives' screen and go through the same process.

This tutorial has now been split up! Please find the links below to the new tutorials which will explain how thoroughness, attainment and progress are calculated on Tapestry.
-
Please note that this tutorial is about tracking for the old EYFS. For information about tracking screens for the new EYFS 2021, please click here.
This tutorial will talk you through how to enter baseline assessments for children on Tapestry, you can then use these assessments to track children's progress throughout the year.
To find the baseline screen you will need to click on the Tracking section at the top of the page (1), then making sure you are on the 'EYFS' section (2), in the 'Baseline Assessment' section click on either the 'Individual view' or 'Group view' button (3). Do note that the baseline or baseline period for a child can only be edited from the individual view.
I'm going to start by looking at the individual view, so once you click on that button you will see this screen below, from there you will need to choose the child you want to set the baseline from the child drop-down menu.
Once you’ve selected a child the assessment sheet will automatically appear.
Near the top of the sheet, in the 'status' section, you can set the baseline period from the 'start date' (1) and 'end date' (2) sections. The default settings for the start date will be that of the child's first observation with an assessment, or if one hasn't been made yet, the current date. The default end date will be three weeks after that. You can of course change these to suit yourself though.
If you then scroll down you will see it is much the same as snapshots. You will see the 17 types of assessments (3) and will be able to set the levels of development for the child in question.
Depending on whether or not you've told Tapestry you want to see “Refinement” you will have the option to select emerging, developing, or secure.
Any observations you've already made and published for the child will come up already filled in.
Click 'show details' to see the observation/s. This can be overridden if you believe that the observation/s are not a true representation of the child’s ability. If you do override it, that score will stick - no other assessments you make after that point will contribute towards the score.
When the assessment is completed to a level that you’re happy with, save it by scrolling to the bottom of the screen clicking 'Save Changes'.
When this is done you will see a few changes. If you have added your assessments straight into the baseline (rather than letting Tapestry fill them in from your observations) they will come up with a little pencil (highlighted for this tutorial in the red box). This indicates that the score was manually inputted and no assessments within observations were averaged out by Tapestry to give the score you're seeing.
You will also see that each assessment line will have been coloured in. These colours correspond with the child’s stage of development relative to their age group.
Once you are happy with a child's baseline and do not want any further observations to contribute towards the score you can lock the child's baseline by selecting the 'Locked' tick-box (1) at the top of the page and then pressing 'Save Changes' (2).
A child's baseline can be unlocked at any time if you do want to make a manual change. When you unlock a baseline you will see you are presented with two options: 'Keep assessments as overrides' (1) and '
You will find the options to export it as either as PDF or CSV at the top of the baseline.

There are certain groups on Tapestry that are automatically created for you based on the information you enter for children, like gender, season born, cohort year etc., so it's not necessary for you to set up these groups on your account. If however, you would like to create groups specific to your setting such as classes, rooms and ability groups, you just need to follow this tutorial.
Groups on Tapestry can be used when adding observations, to select whole groups at a time or select children from a group (currently only available on the browser version) and they can also be used to help you with your tracking on Tapestry.
To create a new group or manage an existing one you will need to go to your Control Panel which you can find by clicking on your name in the top right-hand corner of the screen and then selecting that option from the drop-down list.
From the left hand-side menu you will need to select the 'Manage Groups' option (1).
Once on this page you will see any existing groups listed (2) and you can add a new one by clicking on the '+ Add Group' button (3).
You can then enter a name (1) and description (2) for the group and to add children to it you just need to click on the '+ Select Children' button (3).
After selecting to add children, you will then be presented with a pop-up with a list of all the children's names on your account.
Please note that children that are ‘enrolling’ will also show up in this list. If children are enrolling it means they will not contribute to your number of active children and you can’t use the full functionality of Tapestry with them until they have been made active. This tutorial talks you through how to do this. Here you can search for a child's name use the filter box at the top (1). If you want to add all or most of the children in the list to the group you might want to use the 'Select All' button (2) and if you wanted to remove any children you could then untick their names. To add children to the group individually you just need to select the tick box at the end of the row of their name (3). As soon as you have selected all the children you want to add, you just need to click on the 'Done' button (4).
Once you attach the children you will then be able to see all their names included in the group (1). Any children that are enrolling that have been included will be labelled accordingly (2).
When you’re happy with the group, just remember to press ‘Save’ (3).

This feature allows a setting to quickly and easily change the logged in member of staff, so that a new observation will be in the name of the correct staff member. Additionally it provides a method for the setting manager to control whether or not staff members can log in from outside the setting - a security measure that has been discussed in the Tapestry forum.
This feature is also available on the companion app to Tapestry. A guide for Android users can be found here.
The feature is accessed from the dropdown box against your name at the top:
Click the 'Switch Accounts' option and you'll be taken to the following standby screen:
At this stage Tapestry cannot be accessed any more, except through entering either a valid PIN or password. If the password/PIN entered is incorrect you are completely logged out of Tapestry, requiring a full password and email address login.
To then login you will need to select your name from the drop down list and enter in your PIN or password.
Entering a correct password/PIN returns you to Tapestry, with the appropriate person logged in, from where you can perform any of the tasks your account allows you to do.
Whether it asks you for a PIN or password displays two levels of access. The setting manager can decide who has full access (ie can log in from anywhere at any time) and who can only log into Tapestry from the setting itself, on a PC/device that has already been logged into by a manager/responsible person. Here's how it works:
The level of authorisation is set by the manager from the setting/staff management screen (I'll describe this in detail later). If you would like a member of staff to have full access - eg a supervisor or long-term trusted member of staff - then you need to be able to provide an email address for them (it doesn't actually matter what this is but provides them with the full Tapestry login they'll need to be able to log in from their computer/device). You also give them a password.
If, however, you'd prefer the staff member to only be able to log into Tapestry when they are actually working at the setting, then you don't enter email address or password for them in the setting/staff management screen, simply a PIN. They then rely on a manager/responsible person to perform a full login to Tapestry before they are able to switch accounts using their PIN.
So, hopefully that all makes sense, and provides you with the security levels you need to control access to Tapestry. Now it only remains necessary to show you how to set these security levels, which we do from the Control Panel (1) by going to 'Manage Staff' (3).
Find the staff member you want to set this for in the list and select 'Edit'. Incidentally, note that where a member of staff only has restricted PIN access to Tapestry this is indicated under their name:
You'll find yourself at the main staff details screen. If you were adding adding a new staff member you'd need to fill out all the details, but in this case we only need to be concerned with the 'Type' field indicated below:
Select whether you want a full account, PIN only account, or whether the staff member is to be regarded as a manager (and therefore have full access, for which an email address and password is automatically required):
If you specify 'Manager' or 'Staff (Full Account)' you'll find the email and password fields appear for you to fill in:
And that's it. Once you've set these details up you have control of where and how your staff access Tapestry, and you also have a quick and easy way of switching between accounts when various staff are adding observations. You should find it's pretty intuitive to get into the habit of clicking 'switch accounts' every time you've finished with Tapestry, so that it's in standby mode for the next person to log in.

On Tapestry it's possible to import children, relatives and staff in bulk, from a CSV file. You can see how to create a CSV file yourself from here, but you may also be able to export one from your school Management Information System.
Once you have your CSV file you can upload this from your Control Panel in your account. You can access this by clicking on your name in the top right-hand corner (1), selecting 'Control Panel' (2) from the drop-down menu and when you arrive on the Control Panel you'll need to select 'Manage Children' (3) from the left-hand menu.
At the top of this page you can see how many enrolling, active, inactive and awaiting deletion children you have, as well as the total number of children and how many free enrolling and active child spaces you have on your account (4). By default you will see all children you but if you just want to see enrolling, active, inactive or awaiting deletion children, you can click on the appropriate button.
On the Manage Children page you will then need to scroll down to the bottom and click on the 'Choose File' button (1) to open your file explorer and find your CSV file. Next click (2) 'Upload'.
You'll be taken through a couple of steps to ensure that the information from the file you want to import ends up in the right fields in Tapestry. Here's the first:
These fields will probably not need changing, but they do offer you the option to change how the fields on your spreadsheet and the fields you can import into Tapestry match up if they don't look correct. Once you've checked the fields do match up properly, click 'Next Step'.
Please note that the column titled 'input name' are the headings that are on your spreadsheet. You might not be able to import everything you put on there though, for example, you can't assign key children groups though a CSV file. Click here to see the headings that you can import.
The values of some fields need some refining and this next page gives you the option to adjust these.
Finally, you can select which children from the original file you'd like to import into Tapestry. If you want to import them all, just check the 'Select All' box (1). You can also select/deselect individual children from the tick boxes next to their names (2).
At the bottom of the page you can then decide whether you want to add the children as active (3) or enrolling (4).
If you add the children as active, they will contribute towards the number of spaces on your account. You will also be able to use the full functionality of Tapestry with them, so you can include them in observations, memos and activities etc.
If you add the children as enrolling, they will not contribute towards your number of active children. This status was designed for settings who want to be able to add new children to their account before they start. With children that enrolling you can add them to groups, link relatives and assign them key children for staff as well as complete their All About Me and add name labels for them, but most features are not available for them until they become active.
You can only add the same number of enrolling children to your account as you have spaces for active children. So, if you had our up to 60 child package, you could add up to 60 enrolling children.
Please note, if you choose to add children as active, it’s not possible to later change them to ‘enrolling’.
If you do add the children as enrolling, this tutorial will talk you through how you can then activate them.
The children will now appear on your Tapestry as active or enrolling.

You can upload relatives onto Tapestry via CSV file. This is a quick guide to show you what the CSV document you need to create will look like and explain how you can convert a standard excel file sheet into a CSV file.
Below is an examples of the excel sheet you will need. As you can see it just includes the heading of: First Name, Last Name, and Email. It is really important that you add the field headings into the CSV file - otherwise you will lose the first relative when importing the document.
In order to change this to CSV format you should go to "File" > "Save As" > "Save as type:" " CSV (Comma Delimited)".
You should then be able to upload it to Tapestry. For guidance on how to do that, please check out this tutorial (the first bit explains how to import children, but scroll down for the relative bit).
There are a few things that you should note:
1) The name and email address fields refer to the relative's names and email address, not the children's.
2) Tapestry expects the file to contain a row of headings followed by the rows of data with no gaps. If there are any blank rows, delete these and shift the remaining data up.
3) You can have extra columns of information but if Tapestry doesn't collect that data, you won't be able to import them.
4) You need to fill in all the fields - you won't be able to import the relative if there is a blank space for one of their names of their email address
5) You can upload as many or as few people as you want this way.
6) You will have to connect each child to their relative manually. This is to prevent errors resulting in the wrong people having access to a child's journal.

These instructions describe the process of adding an individual child to Tapestry. If you would like to import children in bulk from a CSV file, which you may be able to export from a Management Information System (MIS) or other source, please take a look at the Importing data to Tapestry tutorial.
This tutorial however, covers how to add children manually, one at a time.To do this, we need to go to the management area of Tapestry, the Control Panel. A manager can find this section by clicking on their name in the top right-hand corner (1) and selecting 'Control Panel' (2) from the drop-down menu.
Once in the Control Panel, in the menu on the left side of the screen click on 'Manage Children' (1) and then the '+ Add Child' button (2).
At the top of this page you can see how many enrolling, active, inactive and awaiting deletion children you have, as well as the total number of children and how many free enrolling and active child spaces you have on your account (3). By default you will see all children you but if you just want to see enrolling, active, inactive or awaiting deletion children, you can click on the appropriate button.
Once you've clicked on the add child button, you will be taken to the form which you will need to fill in to add a new child in Tapestry. I'll go through this below:
1) Here is where you can add a photo of the child (this is optional). If you do add a photo, it will show up in the list of children, observations etc. You will need to click the "Browse" button to open the file explorer on your computer and select the photo. You can then edit the image if necessary by using the rotate and crop buttons.
2) Enter a first name and last name for the child. You do have to fill in this information to save the child.
3) Select the correct gender from the drop-down list. You don't have to change this to save the child, but 'Male' will be selected by default.
4) Enter a date of birth by clicking in the box and selecting it from the calendar. This is required to save the child as it is vital to work out how their assessed age relates to their actual age.
5) Tapestry will automatically assign a child a cohort based on their D.O.B, but you can choose to override that from the drop-down box.
Everything else is optional, but you might find it useful to fill it all in so that you can more easily filter and track progress/attainment of children with specific needs.
1) If your children are in Reception or above, they may have a Unique Pupil Number (UPN). You don't need to enter this into Tapestry, but if you would like to, you can do so here.
2) If you are using Tapestry to create your EYFSP submission you might want to put in their postcode that can be included in the file. Enter that here.
3) If the child speaks English as an additional language and you would like that to be recorded on Tapestry, tick this box.
4) Use the drop-down list indicate whether the child is eligible for free school meals.
5) Tick this box to indicate that the child is receiving pupil premium funding
6) Select a Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision here if required.
In the ‘Status’ section you have two different options available to you as to what the status of the child will be once you finish adding them. These are:
- Active: this is the default option. This means once you have finished adding the child they will contribute towards the number of children in your package. You will also be able to use the full functionality of Tapestry with them, such as add observations, memos and activities.
- Enrolling: this is designed for when you want to add new children to your package who haven’t actually started with you yet. Children that are enrolling will not contribute to your number of active children. With enrolling children you can add them to groups, link them to relatives and link them as a key child for staff as well as complete their About Me and add name labels for them, but most features are not available for them until they become active. You can only add the same number of enrolling children to your account as you have spaces for active children. So if you have an up to 60 child package, you can only add up to 60 enrolling children.
Please note, if you add a child as active, it is not possible to later change their status to enrolling.
If you add a child as enrolling, you can activate their account at a later point by following this tutorial.
Below this you have the permissions section where you can choose whether you would like the child's relatives to be able to view and edit the child's 'All About Me page'. You can find a more detailed tutorial for that here.
Lastly, you will have the option to manually set a password for the child manually (1). This will allow them to log into their own account if you have our Child Login feature enabled. However, we do generally recommend automatically generating the children's passwords instead, as this will provide you with a PDF file you can download and save. You can find more information on setting up and using our Child Login feature here.
Then you just need to press 'Save' (2)

In this tutorial I will run through how to set default notification settings for all users on your Tapestry package. Only managers can change default settings, but all users can change their personal preferences by following the steps listed in our tutorial on setting your own notification preferences.
If you want to set up push notifications for users so they can enable them on specific devices, you can take a look at the guides linked below for iOS and Android. Please note, push notifications are only available on the new versions of the app which are separate to the original version. You can download them from the App/Play store.
Enabling and using push notifications on the new iOS app
Enabling and using push notifications on the new Android app
As a manager, you have the authority to decide the default notifications settings for new staff members and relatives. To do this you will need to go to your Control Panel, which you can access by clicking on your name in the top right-hand corner (1) and selecting 'Control Panel' (2) from the drop-down. Then on the Control Panel click on the 'Settings' option on the left-hand side (3) and, from that drop-down, select 'Notifications' (4).
Before setting the preferences for staff and relatives it's important that you ensure you have enabled them to be able to receive notifications. You can check this by clicking where it says 'Permissions' in the yellow message box at the top of the page (5).
The first section to this is the default area. Any changes you make here, whether it is at the beginning of your Tapestry subscription, or a significant length of time after, will only affect the people who haven't changed their settings personally in their own 'Edit Preferences' page. These are also the settings that any new staff member that you set up will have.
For each type of event you will be given five options to determine whether or not users will receive notifications and how they receive these:
Disabled means they won't receive email notifications or internal notifications.
Internal means they won't get any email notifications. Notifications will only appear as a mark next to the notification bell when they log into Tapestry.
Immediate Email means they will be emailed as soon as the observation/comment is posted.
Daily Email means they will get one email every 24 hours with all the observations/comments in.
Weekly Email means they will get one email every 7 days.
Most events will have these same five choices, but some of them will have fewer options.
Please note that PIN only staff will only have the option to receive internal notifications or to have notifications disabled, as they do not have an email address associated with their logins for messages to be sent to.
Once you are happy with your choices for the default settings, please remember to press 'Save'.
If your parents are not receiving notifications when they should be, please check that their email addresses are correct and you have set Tapestry to allow relatives to receive notifications. That setting can be found in your Control Panel > User Permissions > Relatives > Receive Notifications.
If this does not help please see our troubleshooting tutorial: Not receiving email notifications
You also have the option to reset a specific kind of/all user/s to these default settings, although they will be able to change them back on their own accounts to whatever they want.
This can be done by choosing the group of users and pressing 'reset'.
Notifications and Email Log
Regarding checking on the delivery of notifications, you may like to refer to this tutorial here on the email log which provides an account of the different types of notifications that have been sent out by Tapestry and on their delivery status. This is a useful tool for managers to use to see if a notification has been sent.
That's all there is to it! Happy weaving!

It can be very useful to keep a log of what you've done in a program, especially when a number of people are using it. Tapestry includes a history tab which will tell you exactly what has happened when, including when people have logged in. You can filter this which you may find particularly useful if you have a large number of events and are looking for something specific. Let me show you how it looks and works:
First off go to your control panel by clicking on your name in the top right hand corner (1) and selecting 'Control Panel' from the drop down menu (2).
Then from the left hand side menu select 'History'.
Once you have clicked that, you'll see this screen (although without the red arrows and the numbers!):
As you can see, you're presented with a list showing you exactly who has done what and when in your Tapestry, with the most recent entry first. The first arrow (1) directs you to the 'filter and sort history' function. That will allow you to narrow down what you're looking at so, for example, you could look at everything one particular person has done. If you're looking for items relating to a particular observation you might want to use the search bar to type in a specific title.
The second red arrow in the picture of the History tab shows you which user triggered the entry. If you click on it you will be taken to their user profile page.
The third arrow shows you what was added, for example 'stacking blocks' is the title of an observation and ' 2018-05-08-CBCQAGTJ' is the name of a transfer.
The fourth one will show you the exact date and time it happened.
The fifth one won't always appear. That is a 'more info' button and will only be there if we can give you more details about the entry you're looking at. They will appear if you edit an observation or a person to tell you what has changed and for transfers.
If you have any questions about what your History tab is showing you please get in touch with us by emailing customer.service@eyfs.info. -
You can customise your Tapestry by choosing from a range of themes and font types that appear in the notes section of an observation.
To do this you will need to go to your control panel by clicking on your name in the top right hand corner, then selecting 'Control Panel' from the drop down menu.
You will then need to click on (1) Settings and then (2) 'Theme' from the drop down menu.
To change the theme you just need to select the one you would like from the drop down list in the (3) 'Select Theme' section.
You can see an example of one of our new themes below!
To change the font just select the one you would like to use in the (1) 'Theme Display Settings' box.
If you are using the default theme you can also choose whether you would like the (2) butterfly to appear in the top left hand corner of the control panel. If you are using the countryside theme you can choose whether you would like a graphic of children playing to appear at the top of the page.
To save your changes you just need to press the (3) Submit button.
-
On Tapestry you can set up assessment periods which you can then use in the tracking screens to see where children are and how they are progressing between the periods.
We recommend that you set up your term dates at the beginning of your academic year.
When setting up your assessment periods, we suggest you set them to match your setting's term dates and to match how often you check children's assessments; for example if you check these termly then you will only want 3 terms but if you check them half termly then you will want 6 periods.
As this is a setting change, you will need to be signed into the browser version of Tapestry as a manager and go to the Control Panel by clicking on your name in the top right-hand corner (1) then selecting 'Control Panel' (2) from the drop-down menu.
You will then need to click on 'Settings' (1) and select 'Summative Assessments' (2) from the drop-down menu. That will take you to a page where you can see, amongst other things, the term dates you currently have set. If any, or all, of these need changing, click on the 'Change Assessment Periods' button (3).
It's not necessary to set up a baseline period on Tapestry. If you are using the EYFS flags then the Areas of Concern screen can be used as a baseline through your first judgement. You can view this through the 'Timeline' feature. This tutorial talks you through this Areas of Concern Group View tracking screen.
Once you know how many periods you want to set up, you can remove any extra periods by clicking on the 'X' button (1) or you can add a new period by clicking on the 'Add Period' button (2).
To change the dates, you just need to click on the drop down boxes for start/end date (3). You can change the term names by in the 'Name' boxes (4). To save your changes you will need to click on the 'Submit' button (5).
When you change your term dates it's important to remember that a new academic year on your account starts at the beginning of the first term in your list. You can see from the screenshot above that in this account our new academic year will start in the Autumn term on the 1st September.
Please do be aware that changing these dates will affect your previous periods and years on Tapestry.
If you decide to cancel the changes before you have submitted them, you can just leave the page (either close it, or go to a different page within Tapestry) to leave them as they were. You must do that before you press submit though!
You can also choose to reset them back to Tapestry default ones by clicking on the 'Set Defaults' button (1). Once you've made your changes you then need to click on the 'Save' button (2).
Once you press 'Save' you will be taken to a screen asking you to confirm your period changes.
If you've only made small changes, e.g. kept the same number of terms but changed some of the dates a little bit, you will be able to see your current periods (1), the new ones (2) and to continue you just need to click 'Save' (3).
If you are trying to make larger changes e.g. going from 6 terms to 3, not only will you see the current periods (1) and new periods (2) but you will also be shown the information about the period changes (3) and you will be presented with an information box (4). It's very important that you read this if you want to proceed because you can only go ahead after you have agreed to this (5). You won't be able to click the 'Save' button (6) until you do agree.

This tutorial will show you how to change your PIN, password and email address from the browser version of Tapestry. For guides on resetting your password from within the app, please see the tutorials linked below.
Changing your PIN, password or email from within the original version of app
Changing your PIN, password or email from within the new iOS app
Changing your PIN, password or email from within the new Android app
You can change all of these from within your personal preferences section within your account. You can find this by clicking on your name in the top right-hand corner and selecting 'Edit Preferences' from the drop-down menu.
Here you can see the relevant options to change your email (1), password (2) and PIN (3).
I will go through changing each of the options briefly.
To skip to the relevant section, please use the links below.
I'll start by looking at how you can change your email.
Changing your email
On the 'Email' page you can see the email address currently linked to your account (1) as well as whether you have opted in to receive Tapestry news (2).
When you click into the email address field (1) and start typing your new email you will then also be presented with a second field where you will need to enter your current password (2). You will not be able to proceed with changing your email unless you enter your correct current password.
Once you have filled in both of these filed you can press the 'Save' button (3) to change your email. To go back to the previous page you just need to click on the 'Return to Edit Preferences Page' button (4).
Changing your password
It's really important on Tapestry that you set a strong and secure password for your account, this will help ensure your account and the data in it, is kept safe. At the top of the 'Change your Password' page you can see some information about how you can set a strong password as well as a link to the UK government's current password advice (1). You might also want to have a read through of this article we have written which will guide you through how to set up a secure password.
Underneath this you will see the password requirements you will need to meet in order to set a new password for yourself (2). These can be set by a manager on your account. This tutorial talks you through this process.
To set a new password you will need to enter your existing password (3), your new one (4) and then re-enter your new one (5). Once you have done this you just need to click on the 'Change Password' button (6) and after this if you want to return to the previous screen you can click on the 'Return to Edit Preferences Page' button (7).
Changing your PIN
Your 4-digit PIN on Tapestry can be used to quickly and easily access the Tapestry app. To change this on the 'Change your PIN' page page you simply need to enter your existing PIN (1) and then enter (2) and re-enter (3) a new 4-digit PIN. Once you've done this, simply click on the 'Change PIN' button (4). If you want to return to the previous page, just click on the 'Return to Edit Preferences Page' (5).
Forgotten password
If you have forgotten your password, you can either ask a manager on your account to reset it, or you can reset it yourself. To do this you just need to click where it says 'Having trouble logging in?' (1) underneath the login button on the Tapestry sign in page.
Select 'Reset Your Password' (1).
On the next screen you will need to enter your email address (1) and then click on 'Submit' (2). This will send you a reset email from which you can set up a new password. If you are set up on multiple Tapestry accounts with the same email address you will receive an email for each account you are set up on. Within the subject of each email you will see the name of the setting that the password reset is for. You can ignore or delete any emails for accounts you don't need to reset the password for.
So that's how to change your password, PIN and email on the browser version of Tapestry. If you need help with any of this, please get in touch with us by emailing customer.service@eyfs.info.

Hi,
I have just tested this on an iPad on the latest iOS and have not experienced the same issue. Are you just having this issue with the FSF website or have you experienced it with other ones as well?
