  1. Exactly ...someone has another view and then you doubt yourself all over again 🙈
  2. Thank you for confirming that, that’s how I’d done it, just the months gross pay including me as a non-furloughed staff but someone was trying to tell me I couldn't include my wage in the total monthly wage only staff we’d furloughed.
  3. I’ve got my self back in a muddle now ....are you using your ‘total’ wage bill for the month (everyone not just the furloughed staff) to then get to the 80% if that figure to then work out your fee % that you can claim?
  4. Looks that way, but if you have no kw chn what are you supposed to do?
  5. No me zigzag, especially by the people who know they are irrelevant to us ....what’s that all about 😠 I run my furloughed staff through it and just the dates they wanted from you are b****y confusing, if you click the ‘topping up’ option it shuts it can’t calculate .....useless !
  6. Well that seems pointless EYA just sent it, not sure what has happened to the one they were preparing?
  7. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/work-out-80-of-your-employees-wages-to-claim-through-the-coronavirus-job-retention-scheme might be time to have a play with this, just emailed from payroll.
  8. Yes! Well done Cait FSF born 2003 ...it says so on the home page :-D I think that’s 7 points to you 👍
  9. 4. ‘It’s’ more than one voice I am making these up as I go along :-/
  10. You are most definitely in the loop for this one!
  11. Sorry no too both ....3. .think much closer to home
  12. Time for another clue.... I’m quite well known by my initials 🤔
  13. For missing the boat I’ll have a go... I was born in 2003
  14. They’re going to have to give us time to get our staff out of furlough ...especially if they’ve just gone in for a new 3 wk block....or maybe they’ll move those goalposts to suit as well :-/
  15. Nooooo that’s my answer and he’s probably played someone Irish 🤣 and to be fair Bob Geldof probably isn’t 74 either?
  16. Do you think this is what they meant when they said ‘keep your calculations’
  17. I don’t think it helps that the guidance is poorly written, when I read those 2 paragraphs I read a different calculation ....the first 60% of 80% (CJRS) and the second 60% of 100% (total pay bill)
  18. Lynned, That all sounds quite stressful, I try not to mention any of it to mine or I get his opinion (which is obviously right) whether I wanted it or not 🤦‍♀️ I’m sure this could have all been so much easier, every problem you think you’ve cracked just raises another one. Anju - Thanks for the calculator, I’ll give it ago and see if I get the same figures as my payroll 😉 zigzag & Louby- I’m glad I’m not the only burying my head in the sand but after spending 2 days trying to get into the PAYE online account I’m going to bloody well use it!
  19. Funny that isn’t it, my staff with their own young chn are always the first only to offer to help out. ours are getting 100%, though any due NLW will go onto it if not furloughed. Have any of you used the portal yet or seen a useful calculator ....still not found the courage to even look yet 👀
  20. I will never be able to give them enough at home work but am thinking of asking them to work the hours between the highest number of hours a furloughed staff member is contracted for, up to their contracted hours ....trying to keep it fair for all 🤷‍♀️
