If funding continues my staff will be on full wages - I realise that I am in a different position to lots of our lovely forum friends in that I don't have any fee payers at this time

It's all economic zigzag - if schools close parents can't work - but we are 'at risk' especially women of a certain age such as me

Promise that I will stop banging on very soon - but just had a call from my son to say that my grandson's Uni has closed today - why close Universities but not schools - answers on a postcard please....

Have just watched Boris' latest briefing - I just can't follow his logic - this is hand on heart, not because I want time off work - but rather that I am so worried about this course of action

Oh Deb - this is not really an answer - I wouldn't be encouraging parents to come in at all in the current situation - I am actively discouraging any 'outsiders' from visiting pre-school -
I have been very 'naughty' - I expect a bolt of lightening to get me soon I knew that the first person to be a complete pain re illness and pre-school would be my 'odd' mum - suffice it to say that her child will now be absent for the week - she thought we were going to have a long discussion about his symptoms - er no - if he is unwell (bet he's not) then please stay at home - she said "oh okay, we will see you tomorrow then" - er no he needs to stay home for seven days Bet she wishes she'd never bothered now - as I said 'naughty'

Breaking news! Never listen to a word I say it would seem that Boris and co have no intention of closing schools anytime soon Have spoken to our local Primary head today - she is super stressed and said "this Government need to make the decision to close schools and quick"

I believe that finleysmaid has had an answer from her LA - and the answer was that she would continue to receive funding

Check out news from Ireland under the BBC red button service - Arlene Foster has now said that schools will close for at least 16 weeks - can you imagine no summer terms at all

have I shocked you louby it's only a guess, we surely can't continue to swim against the tide in this country - schools are closed in Italy (obviously), France, Germany, Denmark why are our 'experts' and Boris so certain that this isn't the right move?

Hi Mousie I don't have any fee payers so not an issue for me No idea abut funding We would also have to close if my deputy and I were both self-isolating, haven't added that to my notice as I really wanted to make it short and to the point, I will cross that bridge if/when we come to it If I was a betting woman, my guess would be that we, as a country, will not return after Easter hols - we will see
