No, sorry there's no way of doing this at the moment (other than having words of course). I'll put it on our list of things to consider.
-
Yes they can
-
Are you having difficulty adding relatives to Tapestry or are they not receiving emails? Do you see an error message? If so, what does it say?
-
Please submit a support ticket from whithin Tapestry and we will recover the observations for you. Don't worry, they will not have been deleted permanently.
-
On the updated Tapesry you can add a whole group of children to an observation in one go. If you'd like to migrate to the updated version, please complete the checklist accessible from the green banner at the top of the page and select a date.

The code does not time out but it might be cancelled by the sending setting if it isn't used and they need to get on with other transfers. At the moment you do not have to migrate to the updated version of Tapestry if you don't want to. Eventually everyone will have to move but for now it's opt-in. If you have selected a date for your migration and want to cancel it, you can do so from "Manage Settings > Updated Tapestry". If you need help with your transfer, send us a support ticket and we'll assist.

We don't have notifications for reports yet, but we will soon be releasing some extra types of notifications that aren't currently available. I will add notifications for reports to our list of new features to add.

Yes, that should work.

We don't currently support sound files, but it's something that we've been thinking about adding for some time. It's not likely to be done any time soon though. At the moment you can upload the following.
Photos: jpg,jpeg,gif,png
Videos: mp4,mpg,mpeg,m4v,mov,3gp,avi,m2ts,mts,wmv

A child can only have one baseline, but this is not transferred when a child is transferred between Tapestry settings. The observations and assessments will be transferred, but not any manually overriden summative assessments, which includes baselines.

I think you need this tutorial. Let me know if you have any questions.
-
Yes, they will need to use the new web address. Could you please send us a support ticket about this, giving the name of the parent? We'll check what's happening.

If you want to get your subscriptions under one FSF account, send us a support ticket and we'll sort it out for you.
-
You don't need a new FSF account, you can just buy another subscription.
-
If you login as a manager, you should see a banner at the top of the screen that takes you to a checklist. When you complete the checklist you can choose a date to be migrated to the updated version.
-
We'll be starting to do it automatically within a few days. Until then we're happy to migrate settings on request.
-
It shouldn't make much difference but it might be better to begin on the new system instead of learning the current one and then having to switch.
-
I've just sent you a PM, Catherine.
-
I've just sent you an email, Rachael.

When you transfer a child to another setting it does not delete them from your setting. At the end of the process you are given the option to delete the transferred children, but you don't have to do it.

I'm afraid it's not possible for multiple staff to share the same key children group. You would need to set up the key children for each member of staff. You might be able to work around your PE teacher's issue by giving her multiple staff accounts (could be PIN only), then assigning some of the children to each one. She could then switch user to her account for the group that she's teaching and only see the appropriate children in the list. We will be working on ways to improve the groups and filtering but we've got a lot on our plates at the moment.
Could you please submit a support ticket about the group ownership issue?

Hi Lincolnshire, welcome to the forum and congratulations on making your first post.
This is something that PRAMS wasn't designed to do, and not something that I recommend doing, however it is possible. Here are the ways of doing it in order of best to worst:
- Store your setting data (.sg2 file and _images and _backup folders) on a network drive and open that directly from PRAMS using the "file > open" menu item. You will only be able to use the setting data file from one computer at a time.
- Store your setting data (as above) on a USB flash drive and pass it around between your computers.
- Create separate setting data files on each computer and somehow keep them up-to-date by copying them around. I strongly recommend you not to do this.
Alternatively, if you will be using PRAMS for different classes of children and you'll never want to collect them together for analysis or move children between them, you could have separate setting data files for the separate classes on separate computers.
-
It's nice to hear that you like using PRAMS. PRAMS 3 will be available some time in the Autumn, I can't give a more exact date yet.
-
Hi Lorraine,
PRAMS probably has a slight edge on data analysis but in terms of recording assessments they are essentially the same. At this stage PRAMS can be unreliable for some people though, and it's not designed for sharing information between computers. I recommend Tapestry for now, certainly until PRAMS 3 is released.
