  1. Oh it’s doesn’t look like it went so well with the calculating side of it :-( Lynned- I’ve included fundraising in my ‘private income’ calculation. I’ve pinned ours down to 36% now, but my understanding is we can only claim 36% of 80% of our actually wage bill for the month, but I also don’t know whether to work it out to the minimum number of furloughed staff I can or a bit each, if we go with the least staff what do we do with the other furloughed staff? put them in the system but claim nothing? I’ve seen some say they will still furlough all if nothing to claim but I guess that’s because they will only have to pay 80%, I’d rather keep the least number in and get some staff doing some paperwork tasks.
  2. I’m very late to the furlough party today, I will read back through and see how you all got on, I didn’t even get around to looking
  3. Someone else has said it’s calculating everything to 80%, regardless that for me I can now only claim 36%...how is that ever going to work? Surely I have to include all currently furloughed staff until I can get them back out if it after their minimum 3 week period is up?
  4. Yeah they can and have it seems to be charities being penalized and we pay £1200 of our own rates each year, I haven’t looked into what is available for charities but from what I'm reading it equates to £150 lottery grant you claim if you can get it :-(
  5. We have been given the rates holiday as a charity rates relief setting but can’t claim the grant ....seems strange that we can get half the deal and the guidance said it included charity rates relief too...
  6. No ones paying the rent clearly Louby or anything else for that matter 🤣 and we haven’t been able to claim the small business grant because we have charity rates relief which is the wrong relief ...so someone who has 100% small business rates relief paying nothing at all can claim the grant, we pay 20% of our rates but can’t get it because ‘the computer says no’ 😡
  7. This is still confusing me: my payroll have told me my claim will be 39% of 80% of my wage total, but this doesn’t mention 80% it actually says your private income % (60% in this example taken from the ‘how to claim’ guidance) of your total paybill ?
  8. Nor do I Louby and I said it 😝
  9. Ummm I’m a little dazed by that, apparently you only claim back the % of ‘private income (39% in our case) against 80% of the total wage bill for the same period, this will cost us about 2k a month and I guess more when we are working it out on a full month :’(
  10. What a worry Nomski, I knew and understood we couldn’t profit from this but never expected to loose money but having just worked ours out from our payrolls understanding of how to calculate it we will only be able to claim back a percentage equal to one weeks worth of the months private income we are loosing ....this is crazy 😢 😡
