  5. Most authors seem to have given permission for this at the moment guess you're right though that tapestry may be more 'safe' than you tube though there appear to be loads already on there!! thanks for the info xx
  6. So i have been thinking (and now have a request) about reading stories online to the children ! what is the best way to do this? any hints tips/ best way of uploading? Better to do on tapestry or you tube? quicker uploads?????? Help please?
  7. Ah well why not? hope you joined in??!!!
  8. Hadn't even thought of that..there always needs to be someone to act on the behalf of the company doesn't there. Every time i think i've got the info something crops up! this months wages shouldn't be effected though should they..it will come in from the beginning of april?
  9. Just a little word of caution on furlough which the government haven't sent infomration on yet (well hadn't yesterday) that those people on probation or under two years service (potentially) may not be covered. . My husband was trying to get clarification on this but i don't think they've got the info yet. I would check before completing wages as it may be difficult to reclaim if paid out.
  10. Can of polish or shaving cream if things have already gone a bit haywire??!! Oh and where's my prize?????????????????
  11. I really MUST check my posts for mistakes!! I have a great pattern for super hero capes!?
  12. im currenlty debating making a couple of teepees for work since i have 2 duvets that i could use. If you want to do something for the environement you could make some Morsbags (morsbags.com) and do some guerilla bagging. They are really simple and quick even i managed! then you just give them away
  13. I am very grateful for having an allotment and 2 dogs to walk! I am also currently grateful for a box of passion fruit given to me by a parent last week which is now sitting in my fridge as passion fruit curd! my house smells lovely
  14. i wonder how last nights instructions will change this?
  15. Are you open today then hopcotch? how many and for how long???
  16. Go on their twitter page ...search NAHT (national association of head teachers) My feeling is that today will be a huge learning curve. Hubs will realise that having staff from all over the place is unworkable and quite frankly dangerous and children will find this incredibly difficult. If your member of staff is working then she will need full pay but your other staff should be covered for 80%by the retention scheme if this is a funded child you are still receiving funding and if not the parents should still be paying .
  17. You do NOT have to open for one child. You can send her to a hub with your LEA you may need to support her at first (although apparently this may be waivered if settled) the NAHT has done a tweet tonight which is great...do share if you can exlaining the issues
  18. I may be being a bit senstive about the word timetable at the moment...some of our childrens siblings were sent home with a very strict timetable from their school and freaked the parents out The church representatives this morning were quoting nuns and monks who are used to self isolating...they emphasised the use of routine and rhythms in the day to keep us on track and of course if you have children with ASD they will expect things to stay the same as much as possible . I love the fact that this crisis has brought out the creativity in people and your ideas sound brill ....how many children will you have ? I guess there are things you need to do wash hands on entry/ snack time/lunch time/ afternoon play so seeing to the childrens health and care needs this will give you a basic structure and then as you suggest i would be outside as much as possible (not sure this is at all helpful,,,,,just my ramblings !!)
  19. That is such a sensible plan twinthinguk. I really admire you for sorting it out. Well done for doing your bit XXX As for a timetable anghay i think if it were me i would be going completely off piste (im preschool though so i would!!) go with the childrens interests /maybe the time for themes based on the individuals ideas and make some floor books and spider graphs or mind maps for knowledge . The children will come up with some lovely ideas and will learn much more that they would normally!!! (remember 3 hours of 1-1 tuition is the equivelent of a week full time school!!)you need to also remember these children will be stressed by all of this, their parents are stressed and tired and their whole world has turned upside down. Just giving them time to play and talk will be the most supportive thing you can do. xx
  20. my sister is in the channel islands they have said they will provide care if BOTH parents are keyworkers...surely this would be the way to go. I agree about the isolation too ...you are quite right one infected child could infect the whole group and then how many keyworkers would have to be off work...doesn't make sense
