I have a weekend of dog walking and some decorating in prospect so busy but should be fun as long as the rain doesn't make a return visit 🤞

Hope you have a good weekend whatever you are up to xx

There’s a village in West Cumbria called ‘Prospect’.  Which bit did you decorate? 🤣🤣

Well, I didn’t get my walk in, nor have I quite finished the schoolwork but I did make marmalade, a loaf of bread and some butter! I feel very domesticated!

I hope you made good use of your buttermilk!

  3. You should be able to find lots of good information from

https://www.eyalliance.org.uk    They have a lot of really good booklets etc and are always good for answering questions.   I was manager of a committee run preschool, with various different committee chairs over the years, not all of whom were ‘active in their role’ shall we say.   Good luck, and do come and ask on here if you’ve any queries.

  5. Hi, sorry you’ve been waiting such a long time for a reply.  There surely must be somebody on here from NI.  Do you still have to answer to Ofsted?  If you do, I’d suggest that they could be your best option if your Local Authority isn’t providing you with answers.   I suspect that tacking an additional hour on would be seen as 3 hours provision if the same children attended both.
sorry I can’t be more helpful.

  6. Fair enough!  Jane Eyre is my go to read.  Did it for O level and it’s actually the school stamped book that I own as they were chucking them out after our year as they’d not be cycling it round again.

My latest pair of socks. My first proper attempt at colourwork. I started them the first day of the summer holidays but it’s taken three attempts to get the tension right so I could actually get them over my foot!

Froglet hope you have a relaxing break and that the school TDL is very small!  I tried the first Richard Osmans book but just couldn’t get into it. My brother and sister in law rave about them.

Glad it’s not just me 🤷‍♀️

Missing our Panders 💔 we would have been busy discussing Strictly now...

I thought exactly the same.  Loved to discuss the scoring and predicting with her ☹️😢

Although, new boiler means I have been focrced to sort the airing cupboard.... and I do seem to have far far  too many old towels and duvet covers!

Your local vet with appreciate the old towels. If there’s a Morsbags group near you they’ll probably love the duvet covers!

Inspectors are generally really used to working in these situations, and can often ask questions during quieter moments when you're still with the children but they're more self-occupied. If, during a conversation with the inspector, you feel you are needed by any child, or for any situation, don't hesitate to say 'I'm sorry, I just need to pop over there and....I'll be back as soon as I can'. This shows them that you are alert to what's going on and that your priority is the children, not the inspector!

Yes, they work with childminders who are usually single-handed, so I’m sure they understand the need for your focus to be elsewhere

  12. Crikey it’s come round a bit quickly!   Granddaughter started back in school this week, Scotland.  Primary 4, so the equivalent of year 3.  I hope it’s a good one for her and stretches her a bit.

  13. I’ve harvested and cleared my rhubarb patch and given it a good top dressing of growmore and manure in the hopes that I’ll get a good autumn crop.   It generally works, so fingers crossed.  That autumn crop is always good for rhubarb and ginger jam!   Yum.
