  1. I think you use your own Heath and Safety regulations. If you don't deem your setting a safe place for children at the moment, then that's it? Hopefully?
  2. That's an interesting point though, Mouseketeer, if schools can individually, unilaterally decide not to open, that puts preschools in a much stronger position. Is it it possible to suggest to parents that children may only attend if they're wearing a face covering? Might that 'put some off'? Zigzag, is your Chairperson willing to come in and work alongside you if some staff can't work due to their own childcare commitments? Sorry, not really being too helpful
  3. Welcome to the Forum! You'll find we are a friendly, helpful bunch!
  4. I would definitely assume they'd be using their annual leave for that.
  5. I don't read it as negativity at all. It's honesty, and at the end of the day, you need to shield Mr Sunnyday. I would most likely be making the personal decision not to return, and leave it to deputy if I was in your position. Nothing is worth the risk. sending huge virtual hugs to you my bouncy friend. Xxxx
  6. I really, really feel for you all. It's a decision I would hate to have to make, but like many of you, I'd be feeling as if I was being backed into a corner to make a decision I really didn't want to make, either way. I really don't see how it's going to work at all. Could/would children wear the see through masks? I really don't know at all. Like Louby said, how can we be expected to care for strangers children, whose backstory for isolation we don't know, and not be able to see our own grandchildren? Definitely not be able to see them once preschools are opened up and the potential for viral risk is increased. Could parents remain briefly whilst a child's temperature is taken, on arrival, and take the child away again if temp is up? (The problem with that is that resting temps can vary considerably. As a child, my resting temp was only 34.5, that was my normal. I had convulsions a couple of times when it went just above 37.5, and my 'normal' was written it big red capitals on my notes after that. So a child could present with a temp of 37 and be deemed okay, when in fact, that's really high for them (if you catch my drift).). Big hugs to all of you - I really hope your Counties come up trumps and give you some solid support, or at least take the decision, blame and consequences out of your hands.
  7. Thank you, each! It's been lovely chatting to you all again recently now that youve all got some extra time on your hands. Xxx.
  8. They do seem to say that they have been sewing for many years and they must have to qualify to actually go on the show. 🤷‍♀️
  9. Yes. The time it took her to make that tumbly mess surely was about the same as cutting out a fresh pocket would have been. I think she should have just left it as it was and saved the time. If she had time at the end, then fiddle
  10. The woman who came last in the mocking said she had made loads of dresses before. I'm sure it's the time factor/pressure. I think it would be good to have one of the pros doing it at the same time - bring chatted at and assisted by the other presenters.
  11. Sorry I have to disagree. I think most of them were a mess. They didn't hang nicely at all and the mocking was appalling! I'd have been embarrassed to own up to making any of those. (Ducks under parapet)
  12. Zebedee suggests Stewart Jackson. Peterborough apparently
  13. Some of those things were a bit of a mess again tonight
  14. Prettiest Patel? Love the autocorrect so leaving it 😳😳
  15. Wahey! (Actually thinking bloke, Roger, Ronald 😂😳)
  16. Anna Soubry? Can't think of any others with those initials.
