  1. Can't believe that! Why not? No, I also hope that nothing is lifted for at least a week.
  2. Oh! Missed it! I hope you had a fabulous sunshiny day! Here's cake for you!
  3. Oops, I probably wasn't meant to let it out of the bag! Shhhh, you didn't hear it from me! 😂😂😂😂😬
  4. I'm afraid I am! You're all getting a taste of retirement at the moment. I just hope that all the children will look back on this time without too much sadness. As the time that they spent a summer with both Mum and Dad. That there was reading and laughter, fun and games. I don't think there had ever been a time when so many children have had access to both parents for so long, intensively. Even in the Great Depression when so many were out of work, the children would have been outside from dawn to dusk, most likely. Strange times. Stay safe, all my forum buddies!
  5. Did you see I've googled people born in 2003. So maybe it's not people? Is it EYFS or something along those lines. DLO?
  6. And to prove it, I just googled 'famous people born in 2003' and apart from Greta, I don't think I've heard of any of these children! 😂🤔😲😬
  7. I think I'm too far out of the loop for this one 😂😂
  8. We didn't actually get to eat any of it either! She said it was lush, and Annabelle at work squealed with pleasure!
  9. 1. Alder 2. Beech 3. Yew 4. Birch 5. Horse chestnut 6. Hawthorn 7. Aspen? 8. Willow 9. Mountain Ash
  10. Delivered a cake for my daughter's birthday for her to take to work, then at least she could share cake with someone on her special day! Edit it to add that's it's gluten free, hence the xanthan gum, which you won't need if you're using muggle flour xx
  11. If you think making hot cross buns is hard, you should try gluten free ones! (Haha, actually, amazingly simple! It's not a dough, more like a cake mix batter, so just spoon it into the muffin tin - I used my individual brownie tin, I had a tiny bit of pastry left from making a quiche so used that for the crosses!) Have a lovely Easter Day tomorrow everyone xxx
  12. Well normally I'd recommend tuning into the webcam at Grosmont on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, but of course there's nothing running!
  13. Did a Jane Eyre for O Level English Lit, back in 1976! It's my 'go to' book - the school copy we were allowed to keep! I find that most films miss out important bits so I end up getting cross with the TV. Might give this one a go though!
  14. If I was a betting woman I'd say it's looking unlikely that you'll be back before June!
